Rep. Stacey Plaskett, of the Virgin Islands, is on the impeachment team and she will serve as a prosecutor of Donald J. Trump once the proceedings being afresh. She tells ZORA magazine how she and her staff stayed safe during the insurrection, how they plan to move forward, and what she brings to the table as an impeachment manager.

“You know, this is the fastest impeachment trial,” Plaskett told ZORA editor Adrienne Samuels Gibbs. “I hear a lot of people asking, ‘When is the speaker bringing over the impeachment?’ The more appropriate question is when is the Senate going to accept the impeachment? The Senate is out on recess until the 19th. So, we’ll see what happens.”
