After the 45th president of the United States departed Washington D.C., the congratulations messages for the 46th president started to show up in media inboxes. The tone and tenor of those messages largely congratulates an incoming presidency that vows to deal with the racial equity crisis as well as more effectively manage the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine program. With incoming Vice President Kamala Harris making history as the first Black woman and South Asian Woman to ascend to the vice presidency, many were ecstatic about the history-making aspects of the day.
