I’m seeing way too many Black folks, particularly Black men, putting on the cape for Joe Rogan and defending him for the anti-Black comments he made on his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience.

Now I already went into detail on the situation and why he became such a trending topic to mainstream news in an article I wrote last week.

The problem I have right now isn’t with Joe Rogan, it’s with some of these Black folks and their willingness to forgive a white person who displays racist behavior and/or perform racist acts against us.

That is a weakness that needs to be rectified in the Black community.

Just like that time when you had a white supremacist by the name of Dylan Roof who committed that horrendous mass murder at an all Black church and deliberately killed nine Black churchgoers.

Then all of sudden, you see Black folks on the news talking about “I forgive you. May God have mercy on yo’ soul.”

Momentum is a blog that captures and reflects the moment we find ourselves in, one where rampant anti-Black racism is leading to violence, trauma, protest, reflection, sorrow, and more. Momentum doesn’t look away when the news cycle shifts.
