Ericka Huggins’ life’s work is a testament to “none of us are free until we’re all free.” A life-long educator and the longest-serving female leader in the Black Panther Party, Huggins was the director of the revolutionary Oakland Community School. Later, she developed programs for LGBTQ+ youth and adults living with HIV/AIDS. In the stories and lessons she shares with ZORA, there’s a deep education in how to serve the people — all people.

Momentum is a blog that captures and reflects the moment we find ourselves in, one where rampant anti-Black racism is leading to violence, trauma, protest, reflection, sorrow, and more. Momentum doesn’t look away when the news cycle shifts.
