Richmond Magazine highlights the work of artist Dustin Klein, a lighting artist who projected George Floyd’s image upon a statue of venerated Confederate General Robert E. Lee. Now Floyd’s face dominates the statue base at night while the bold letters BLM are emblazoned on the side of Lee’s war horse. Keep in mind, dear reader, this is located in Virginia.

Momentum is a blog that captures and reflects the moment we find ourselves in, one where rampant anti-Black racism is leading to violence, trauma, protest, reflection, sorrow, and more. Momentum doesn’t look away when the news cycle shifts.
