Where Have You Been?
One distressing thing that many Black and Brown people have in common is having witnessed — whether directly or indirectly — a Black body discarded, taken too soon by the police or by some other form of racial violence. We’re also used to justice for those losses being a myth. White America seems to be waking up to this reality and, thankfully, is angry, but many of us can’t help but wonder why it’s taken so much loss for this awakening.
