In response to the tragedy, Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott is receiving accolades online for his compassionate response to a question about the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse in Maryland. During a press conference on Tuesday addressing the incident, Scott fielded questions regarding the timeline for rebuilding the bridge. His response was swift and emphatic. “We shouldn’t even be having that discussion right now,” Scott said. “The discussion right now should be about the people, the souls, the lives that we’re trying to save.”
